Karl Felix Oppermann
About me
I was born in Berlin and grew up bilingual in Germany and Spain.
After studying law in Göttingen and Barcelona and earning a Doctor of Laws degree, my career took me to different countries in a variety of professional roles.
Among other positions, I worked at the representation of Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein to the European Union in Brussels and at the German Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I also practiced law in Barcelona for two years.
Since 2019, I have been advising clients from my office in the Chilehaus in Hamburg, specializing in international private law. Building on this experience, I co-founded Oppermann & Engels Rechtsanwälte in early 2025, a law firm specializing in German-Spanish inheritance and real estate law, providing legal counsel to private clients in cross-border matters.
In addition, I support Axel Friederici and proCliente® Treuhand & Consult in ship transactions.
In my free time, I enjoy sailing with my family and engaging in volunteer initiatives aimed at creating a positive social impact.
